    I'm not sure how to do it otherwise, at the moment, but I do know AVIAddXSubs can add chapter points to an AVI/.divx at definable (equal) intervals.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Before you go to a lot of effort you should be aware that playback support for this is rare on both DVD/BD players and software players. Just do one as a test to see if what you are playing the movies with even supports it.

    I installed three of the two mentioned in this thread. I want something basic. I load the XVid/DivX and it added a chapter every :10 or :20 minutes and if I want to go to that chapter I can select chapter from the DVD remote ? My DVD player can play DivX from USB.

    You need a Divx Ultra certified player for menu and chapter support.

    My philips blu-ray player supports chapters in that it creates 10 chapters on the fly so no external chapter editing is needed.Does this for divx/xvid and mkv.
