I'm using Boilsoft Video Joiner for joining video files without reencoding them. It works perfectly. All files that I want to join have the same encoding, same width and height, same everything. The problem is that I have a file consisting of over 30 joined files and I want to insert another one. I have the original files and I have to add them and rearrange them in the desired order, which is a lot of work. If only there was a program that worked just like Boilsoft Video Joiner and that allowed me to save the order of the videos that I've just joined and whenever I wanted to add another file, I could load the settings and just add that file not all of them all over again.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Why don't you rename each of the files with a prefix in the order you need:
0100 - Some video segment
0200 - Some video segment
0300 - Some video segment
.
.
.
2900 - Some video segment
3000 - Some video segment
Then if you want to add something between 0200 and 0300, add 0310 (or 0350 depending on how many segments you think you'll be adding. This numbering would allow up to 100 additional segments without renaming the original 30. With this, you can use a simple sort to get the order you'd like.Have a good one,

I would expect most authoring tools would do this for you. I don't do this type of thing very often, mostly the odd sports DVD for the booster club. Taking stills, video, audio and putting it all together. Easy enough to save a project and modify as needs change. Seems pretty basic.
Otherwise, renaming your files only has to happen once. It's probably taken you more time and typing to follow this thread.
You could always put in a feature request to the Boilsoft development team. But, that would be alot of work too. Nope, I think you're screwed.Have a good one,
