I have been converting and watching movies on my PS3 for years now so I am not new to this but my patience is really starting to wear thin with it.

The last few movies (1080p & 720p) that I have been trying to convert keep popping up with error messages. For reference these are the most recent releases such as The Green Lantern, Super 8, Harry Potter Part 2. I've used mkv2VOB, MKVMerge, tsMuxer, XMedia Recode, you name it I've probably used it. I'm running Windows 7 too.

Unfortunately the errors that I'm receiving don't offer me any information as to what is causing the problem nor is there an option (that I can find) within these programs to create error logs.

I'm wondering if these new films are being encoded differently. Is anyone else experiencing this recently?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm really thinking of ditching the PS3 and opting for a PC as my media center now.

No problems on my end with green latern, i use ripbot264 to do my conversions. The other two movies have not been released in U.S.

Edit: Looks like you're located in UK Super 8 releases on Dec 12th and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows releases on Dec 2nd.
