  1. I have a bin/cue image with chapters, however, my dvd player does not support chapters. Can I edit the cue file in such a way to remove the chapters. I have tried extracting the mpegs from the image and joining them with TMPGEnc but this did not work. Any help is appreciated. Cheers! :P

  2. Were you successful in joining the MPEGs using TMPGEnc? Does the resultant MPEG play fine on your PC? Is the resultant file VCD Compliant?
If yes to all, then you should re-author your VCD with the MPEG file. Try VCDImager, Nero . Check out the links of the left of this page.

  3. the mpeg files that I got from unsing vcdhelp to extract do nothing. won't play on p.c. & tmpgenc can not open them. I also tried to burn the image and the resulting vcd will not play on my software player. I am starting to believe the image was somehow bad to begin with. thanks for your help though!

  4. I think VCDGear has an option to extract bin/cue to mpg and to do it following the chapter structure (i.e. ten chapters ten smaller mpg files), or to extract as one track (e.g. 1 file 799mb).
    Havent tried the latter one.
I just tried extracting the smaller mpg's and burning with nero (0 sec pause) with smooth playback, maybe a half a sec delay hardly noticeable though.
You can also try using vcdeasy, vcdimager, tscv (?) to make another bin/cue without the chapters.
Or u can try using mpgjoin, mpg2vcr, m2edit, or filemerger to join the smaller mpg's.
FileMerger has worked for me without any synch loss.

  5. After a bit of tinkering I got this figured out. You need to edit the cue file. I delete all the indexes under "track 2" except for the first one which is "00". Then I can use vcdgear to extract the mpeg as one long file. Thanks for your input. Cheers!
