  1. I`ve tried my first DivX to Mpeg2.. but its not gone too well.... First of all the audio sync is completely out.. and the frame rate says 23fps for the DiVX file?!?!?!?! so what format am I supposed to use there?? Pal as 25.. and NTSC as 29, im stumped!!!.

I authored and burned to DVDr with Spruceup and it booted the DVD fine with a PS2, but the strange thing is... there was no sound and the image was very stuttery.. I authored the DVD in PAL. I thought this would be a fairly simple process.. but it seems I was wrong!!.

If anyones sucessfully converted a DiVX file whether PAL or NTSC, could you post on here how you did it please.. The guide is too simple (although maybe it is meant to be that simple?)
    Thanks very much

some dvd players have problem playing mpeg1 audio in dvdmovies or you have to change some audio settings in the dvd player to be able to get it to work. the best would be to convert the audio to either dolby digital or pcm.

  3. Well I had another go.... seems to be a 30fps file now.. so it wasn`t reading accurate before.. I converted the DivX to MPEG2 using TMG and then De-multiplexed the file to mv2 and also an ac3 file. Not sure if that was the correct way of converting the sound, but anyway... THE dvd plays perfectly on the PC.. but on the PS2 there is still no sound, and image in stuttery. I dont really know what else to do :(. Can anyone help?? pleassssee

  5. Twice a day....! can you please let us in on the secret. I have issues from divx to mpg2 dvd. The main prob seems to be it is out of sync, then I have a prob with converting the file, I have tried Ulead DVD factory and Tmpgenc. Including demuxing the audio and remuxing. It is always the same, ie. the audio is out of sync. I recently tried dvdit but get an error after 20hrs of encoding.

It seems that the only way I can get the file to play in a Ps2 and DVD player is by using the Ulead encoding, but this seems to emphasise any sunc problems, that would otherwise be watchable.

I have tried just about every option posted on this forum, yet still draw a blank.
Is this really that hard or is there some big secret out there to be shared?

Any help will be well apreciated.

    Brgds
