Hello
I've got Clip A and Clip B in my sequence that i've edited and want to add a transition. Premiere's default transition is to add half a second of frames on the end of Clip A and half a second on the beginning of Clip B and have a cross-fade. However, since these frames are junk I dont want to transition them. What i'm aiming for is the entire project to shrink by 1 second (to cover the transitional overlap of the two clips) instead of adding a second of junk frames to maintime the project run time.
I could cut half a second off the end of Clip A and half a second off the start of Clip B, ripple delete the 1 second gap and add the transition (and restore the frames i just deleted as part of the transition) but I want to add multiple transitions and this would take quite a lot of time. Is there any way to change the way transitions are added? I've searched but couldnt find an answer.
Any help would be appreciated. I have version 5.5 if that helps.
