  1. I have no problems ripping to my drive, or converting to vcd, but when it's done the file is HUGE 1.5GIG. The resolution looks great, but I would like to know how i can convert this to a smaller file. Hard drives are expensive. LOL

    you've got several options:

    1) cut file, burn to two discs
    2) re-encode using much lower bitrate so file fits on one disc, but lose quality in video
    3) re-encode to divx and watch only on PC

  3. I will probablly choose option 2, should I just re-encode with the file I have already created, can I do this more than once until I get the desired size. I'm tring to get my files down to about 700mb, as is on many sharing sites. Thx for reply.

  4. i just encided from divx saving silverman. son of a gun is almost 2.5 gigs in size!! is this normal?

  5. The Divx file size depends on the bitrate you chose to encode with.
