  1. Hi.

I'm new to the forum and I have a 'Audio' Question.

I'm in the process of ripping all of my BD's and creating 'Film Only' backups - Just-in-case.

So far so good. I use ANYDVD HD to rip, then used Blu Ray Rebuider in 'Movie only Mode' to grab just the film.

This has all been working just fine. However I noticed today that when I tackled 'The Incredibles', on playing the backup disc, I get DTS-ES Matrix instead of DTS-MA (Original)!

    Any Ideas?

An interesting read, for me anyway:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTS_(sound_system)
    DTS-ES

    Excerpt:
    .
    .
    .
(DTS Extended Surround) includes two variants, DTS-ES Matrix and DTS-ES Discrete 6.1, depending on how the sound was originally mastered and stored.[2] Both variants are implemented in ways which are compatible with DTS decoders which do not include support for DTS-ES.

  3. Hi.

I think have traced the problem to AnyDVD HD. If I play the first ripped .m2ts file in the chain it shows DTS-ES straight away!

    Thanks for the help.
