Hi guys.
This is a weird one. Though I'm sure there are plenty of weird problems, requests, and solutions...
Aanyway - I have two subtitle files, both .srt.
One is in Russian, and the timings are perfect.
The other is English, which is the subtitle I want - but the timing is bad. Not just out of sync, but randomly out(sometimes early, sometimes late etc) - it's not an easy fix.
As the sentence structures are the same for both subtitle files, I was hoping to somehow simply replace the times in the English file, with those in the Russian file
Is there any way, apart from going through it line by line and copying & pasting the times from one to the other, of doing that?
I apologize for the messy way I've tried to explain the issue and the solution I want - I'm really terrible at such things.

Subtitle Workshop
If all the subs in each file correspond and they have the same number of subs:
Open English sub
Edit/Timings/Read timings from file -- select the Russian file
Read its manual for several useful ways to adjust timing. -
Great - thanks Alan, it worked perfectly.
I knew Subtitle Workshop would come in handy some day! I normally just use is Subtitle Edit - relatively limited, I see now though.
Thanks again!
You saved me a bit of potential RSI. -
In SE: File -> Import time codes
SE relatively limited compared to SW... -
Oh right! Thanks for that.
Learning learning learning... fun fun fun...
