  1. One AVI-file (DivX) d/l from the net.
Converting to SVCD with DVD2SVCD (Cinema Craft Encoder).
I fill in aspect ratio 4.3 because I dont have a widescreen TV. I have converted 2 movies now and they both came out 480x480 regardless of the source is in widescreen or not.
What am I doing wrong? What shall I do?

  2. Hi i been notice the same as you i got the same problem at the beginning
i can't really explain it but i do following i set in 16/9 and it works great at a tv set, if it not works out for ya check your ratio setings on your standalone dvd player. if you use power dvd 4.0 use also 16/9 once again it shows the right aspect ratio. hope it works out for ya bye :)

  3. Thanks for answering
Before, when I used only TEMGEnc version 2.52 (I think) and loaded a template for VCD it worked great, if the source was widescreen it came out widescreen regardless of the 352 x 288 pixels resolution hmmm....
And then I found that a new version was released, 2.53 and loaded the VCD template and found out that if the source was widescreen it filled the whole TV screen, the people on the screen where very tall I am sorry to say that either am I a complete idiot or have I missed something really basic? The reason I now use DVD2SVCD is the whole package...sleep and woke up and ..DONE.
