Hi, first of all let me explain. I'm backing up a TV series using the latest build of MeGUI and have not experienced this before (however I am relatively new to encoding). Upon loading the encoded files it appears that the encode has inserted 4 seconds of non-existent video, therefore throwing the audio/visual about 4 seconds out of sync. In fact i've opened it up in Yamb and it seems is 4014ms to be exact. They're h264 videos and nero aac 2 ch audio streams.
My question is two part:
1. What is my best solution to fixing this, is it possible to remove this dead area from the raw .264 files or is it a lot more simple just to add an extended delay?
2. How would I avoid this problem in future?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Funny, I scoured the net for days looking for an answer before posting here and then today I find this:

In short - in dvd decrypters IFO mode, manually remove cells < 50kbs.
