    Is there any simple mpeg-2 to VOB file converter for making a mpeg-2 file ready for DVD burning? (other than a DVD authoring program).

    Does the DVD standard require menus, or can you make DVD without any menus?

    you dont need menus...it would be enough to have a "first video play". But I havent seen any very simple authoring tool that only does that...maybe dvd quickbuilder.
