SOUND DISAPPEARS after some time in my computer

Hi dear friends,
Recently I have bought an external sound card' M- audio fast track pro',I installed its drivers and it started working but I'm experiencing a very weird problem that after working on the computer for 10-15 minutes suddenly all sound stops.......and I have to restart the computer and get the sound back
- I have not disabled the on board (mother board) sound card
- and this external sound card is with 0 latency for composing music
- also I just restart computer and do nothing with the sound card or the setting and the sound is back

what can be the problem and how to resolve it ??? Thank you.
