Question - how to make ffmpeg use mjpeg codecs when it encounters 4CC code

How do you make ffmpeg use a certain codec when it finds a certain four cc code in the avi header? Is that possible? I'd like ffmpeg to use mjpeg codec when it finds a certain fourCC code in the header of an AVI file.
