    Straight to the point.

    1. I have an .mkv and tried converting it with any video converter pro. (Used and original frame rate : 23.976) But audio and video is out of sync.
    2. Extracted .mkv contents
    3. Opened vdubmod and added the .h264 file which can't be opened by anything in my computer.
    4. Added the .mkv file into vdubmod and gives an error for vfw.. (Using the recent klite pack) I don't know how to configure
    5. I play the file in vdubmod and results to crash.
    6. Asked for help here.
    A. How do I convert it to .avi?
    B. How do I cut clips using Vdubmod?

    Additional
Tried avidemux. But whenever rendering is almost done.. It crashes. When it does not crash.. It gives me a broken avi file or an .avi file which the first 0-6 secs of the vid is distorted and pixel. Along with the last 5 secs of the video freezing and no sound then ends.

try a program on this page. you may have to settle for .mp4 then re-encode to avi.

You probably need the x264vfw to open the mkv with h264 in vdubmod. Or use virtualdub with the mkv plugin, http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/~fcchandler/Plugins/Matroska/

Or try another all-in-one converter like winff, xmedia recode, format factory, freemake video converter, tencoder. All free.
