Hello
I'm wanting to Extract Text from PDF. Not in the way you would use acrobat reader where you can copy image to clipboard, in a way you could take out words or letters or change around whats been written.
I have used a software that let me do this in the past but cannot remember name. It copied the page and turned black and i just extracted the text.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

As above Adobe Reader allow you to mark text which you can 'copy' and then paste in to any text editor.
However, this only works for real text. Some pdf's are images of pages of books and adobe will not recognise the underlying text as such. -
True DB83, but a good operator with Acrobat Pro would use its OCR function to convert that to text. If the user only has Reader, though, they're SOL.
Unless you want to paste the image into a standalone OCR package, convert it to text, (proofread/edit it) and then copy out the sections that you want...

FreeOCR will convert PDF to txt....but it is OCR.
However, you don't have to do any cut and paste. The program will accept PDF and convert it.
