Hey,
I've bought the Orange SilverCrest HD cam, but I just can't get it to stop lagging.
When ever I record something, then go to TotalMedia HDCam (The program it comes with) and import the videos FROM the cam to my PC, then the output video comes in AVI file and NTSC. When ever I upload that into Adobe Premiere, the program freezes. IF i then convert to file to WMV, then it goes straight in to the program, but as im edition or not in Adobe, the preview of my video in the right frame is keeps lagging.
Anyone? (Im from Lebanon, sorry the english !)

the only thing you should be importing into premiere is the original files from the camera. skip the totalmedia thing. if the video lags in premiere it's because your computer is too old/slow.

Im using iMac 21" 2.5 quadcore with 12 gb of ram - i don't think thats it.
But: I changed the resolution from 1080p to 720p, and converted the AVI-file to .mov DVD quality.
Its not that good quality, as you see on f.x. YouTube at 720, but it doesnt lag anymore.
