  1. greetings,

i have extracted the sound track from a mp4 file which reads as 25.33 seconds in duration. (in adobe audition it states 25.326 secs)

when i convert it to wav the the size becomes 23.32 seconds.

this difference is getting in the way of smooth playback because everytime i rewind the track in Flash i hear a loud click.

i am sure this is causing the noise because if i take out the audio track as passthrough and then paste it back into the video no such noise occure.

my query being is there a audio editing software out there that can be so accurate?

im using adobe audition at the moment and thought it would do the job.

    look forward to your advise.

    thank you.

Are you making a looping clip? If so, put a short fade on both ends to eliminate that.

thanks, but this is exactly the issue, when i extract the audio and add fading to its ends and then combine video and audio again.. the click appears.

if i let it loop this does not happen but only happens when i try to manipute it using a Flash component. the flash works fine unless i am seeking on the timeline.

im going to try to edit a bigger/longer clip and then cut to the parts i am interested in. will report back and meanwhile open to advise.

    thank you.
