HI,
This program was working great on XP 32 bit.
After I upgraded to windows 7 64 bit, I could not even do one encode.
Tool opens up just fine, I can load the source video,
Conversion starts (status window shows up), Crashes immediately.
I am continuously trying from 2/3 versions and tried setup and portable versions.
Any Ideas?

I'm also running win7 64bit on both my computers and it works fine with most video sources. But I have seen several reports for other with crash problems. Most seem to use older versions then.
Does it crash with all kind of video sources? -
Thanks a lot,
I tried one avi/mpeg2/mkv as input files and all failed either to creative zen (avi)/lg (mp4)/ipod (mp4)
More interesting is I am able to convert all these files to DVDplayer (standalone). I did not wait for cpnversion to complete. But reached more than 5% -
I found the problem. Problem is resizing. if your encode do not require a resize the program works. I also understand the crashing module is libswscale.dll which is resizing library of ffmpeg.
The last working version is 2.3.3.3.
Copying libswscale.dll from 2.3.3.3 to 3.0.3.4 (latest) also worked for me.
In the process I understand that the used ffmpeg dlls are actually very old even though we see "updated ffmpeg" with every new version.
I hope the developers will fix the issue asap. -
Hmm... it works fine to resize here. I tried different scaling modes without problems.

then,
May be processor specific or optimizations like sse3 etc.....
The laptop(got it from nvidia class action) have very low end amd (V140) cpu. -
Maybe so. I'm running on a quality intel core i7 here....

using 6 different computers here with winXP and win7-64 and i've never had any problem with it. the current version works great and so have all the previous ones. we use it all the time to create videos for ipads, ipods, zunes, and other mp3 players.

Don't understand why you don't like my post in feedback for tool. You might have told same thing in the forum?
I did not complain and given 0 points, Instead I have given 8. My intention was to help others who had crash issues, see 2/3 posts below our posts with crash issues.
Also if it works for some that doesn't mean the program is perfect and no one has to right to say no. I am also downloading from same place? many programs works for me also?
My post here or on the program page will be useful at least 0ne/two who have problems. But your post is of no use.
I don't want to argue much. I am done with this thread. bye.Last edited by chicken264; 6th Oct 2011 at 18:36.

people looking for help can find it if it's posted in the forum. they don't look in the comments section of tools.
