  1. I recorded TV news footage in HD on my sat receiver, copied the TS file to my PC and authored to Bluray using tsMuxer GUI with default settings, have since lost the original TS file and discovered the authored bluray didnt have a compatible audio stream (played on pc but not set-top bluray player), I authored with mp2 audio instead of ac3, plus audio is out of sync towards the end by about 3 to 4 secs. Total length is about 3hr 30min.

I tried playing the authored m2ts file in vlc player, it starts off ok no problems and sound is in sync, but gradually gets out of sync towards the end of file by about 3 to 4 secs with audio playing too early.

Is there anyway I can salvage this m2ts file, and remux properly?

I have already de-muxed to h264 and mp2 files and converted the mp2 to ac3. Tried remuxing but sound still out of sync towards end by about 3 to 4 secs, beginning is ok.

At the end of file, the audio track finishes and im left watching about 3 to 4 secs of video with no sound. Ive been searching everywhere for a solution to this for the last 4 to 5 hours and found nothing so far.

The TV footage is irreplaceable or I would obtain another copy elsewhere.

I am not familiair with TS streams from satellite, but it sounds to me that as audio gets outta sync gradually it can be a framerate and/or VBR audio conversion thang.

Generally, I would unpack audio into CBR wav. Look into the time-lengths of audio and video streams and determine the difference (be aware of a possible delay in the beginning). Then stretch and re-encode to your desired blu-ray compatible audio-format. Remux again. Try if this works.
