Dear all,
I seem to have a problem unlocking my DVD player to accept all regions. I am currently in region 2 (Greece), bought the unit only yesterday and though I have tried the various peices advice posted in your site, I have been unsuccessful up to present. I have tried the code Repeat 5 7 5 3 8 just as you suggested, powering on and off the unit, opening and closing the disk chamber but with no luck at all. I never got any indication of the region I am currently at thus to be able to change to Region 9. Any ideas of how I can turn this around, or a different way around it? It' so frustrating attempting this for countless times.... Maybe there is a software somewhere which I can use? Thank you very much in advance.

I'm going to be blunt and you're not going to like the reality of your situation.
If you need a region free DVD or BluRay player then DO NOT buy Samsung or Sony!
Almost all Samsung DVD and BluRay players are locked and cannot be unlocked. We've had a few reports of a very small number of Samsung models that can be unlocked, but most of them are only available in Australia. If the codes listed do not work to unlock your player then you are out of luck unless someone has new unlock information to give you.
