I recently purchased an HDMI splitter so that I can use all of my components in my living room and my bedroom. I have an xbox 360, ps3 and mac mini hooked up to an Onkyo 705 receiver. The HDMI cable from the receiver goes into the splitter, one hdmi cable goes from the splitter to the bedroom tv and one hdmi cable goes from the splitter to the living room tv.
When I run the xbox 360 or ps3 the image size will convert for each tv so that it looks normal; however, when I run my Mac Mini it looks fine on the larger living room TV but the top part of the screen is cut off on the smaller screen. I think that the picture size of the 54 inch tv is trying to be replicated onto the 42 inch tv.
Any ideas why this is happening and any way to fix it?
