Does anyone know if there's a specific driver in addition to the drivers for the sound card to get the MIDI interface (game port) on the soundcard to work? I have a midi interface cable that connects to an external midi sound module, but I'm not getting squat out of it. I tried it on two different computers, with two different sound cards. So it's either a bad cable or I'm doing something wrong. I ordered a USB midi interface cable yesterday.

Windows 2000 comes with the driver, if the midi port shows up on a list of available MIDI devices, its loaded and working. I'd check the cable or the MIDI device first to rule them out.

Then it's go to be the cable because I know the devices themselves work. I'll wait for the USB interface cable to arrive, hopefully that will solve the problem.
