    Hi everyone,

I'm editing a short clip about kendo, using Sony Vegas 8.
It is amateurishly shot by Sony Handycam HD.

The color in some scenes look dark and a little bit boring.
Could you suggest some way to improve the quality (make it more vibrant, cinematic look, etc.)?

I have tried some presets in Color Corrector, Brightness and Contrast, Glow, Levels, but it didn't help much.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, this is the clip that I get my inspiration from.
I know the camcorder used in this clip is better than mine,
but I do hope with some edit, my clip will look as good:

    Thanks for reading.

not a color problem. the camera set it's exposure levels to the bight light outside the window. not much you can do, maybe increase brightness a bit. the camera needed to be facing away from the window, too late now.

In that trailer, the light coming through the window is coming from lamps positioned outside and with a filter too. It looks much brighter because the exposure is set for the actor. Manual exposure.

The light "rays" is probably from powder and a fan keeping it uniform and floating around, or a fog machine.
