Hey i get movies off the net and i was wondering how i can get them to play on my dvd , they say they are avi but when i try to burn them to cd , it will not let me i was wondering if these movies are truly an avi file and if so what can i use to get it statred any other info you need please ask and thanks in advance for any replys !!

    more less i need to know what program will work ever time i try it it says file not supportted or wont let my burn them to vcd i know i have to convert it to vcd but how ..im sorry im behind the times

  2. no i get the whole proccess i guess just that i dont understand the program i use goes to mpg format then do i burn to vcd ???? for dvd play ???

    If your wanting to play an mpg thruough your dvd player you'll have to have a VCD. So you take your output mpg and make it a VCD. HOW? Well Id say for the newbie you should go with VCDImager-GUI http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdimagergui.htm

    All you have to do is take your mpg and load it onto VCDImager, it will then make you a nice bin/cue file which you can now burn with CDRWin.
