I've been converting divx, avi and captured mpeg thru my AIW into vcd and svcd files for a month or so now and I'm still doing a lot of experimenting with all the various settings in tmpgenc.
I have one question I couldn't find any info on.... Under the video tab in tmpgenc, there is a field called dc component precision. Most of the templates I have all have it set to 8 bits.
Is this the optimal setting? Will setting it higher have a noticeable difference in picture quality? Or will it slow down encoding enough to make the difference in quality not worth it?
