When I play back .mpg files in Media Player (XP professional edition) the files look "washed-out" and really bright. Even after fiddling with contrast and saturation - they just dont look right. I know the files are fine because they play well on my laptop using the same version of media player. They also play on the same computer fine when using Real Player.

Anyone have any ideas how to solve this or if it is a codec causing this and which one?
