I would like to know if there is a difference between the quilty of an mpg and an avi after encoding the avi? if I were to have an avi file and encode it to an mpg would it be the same as just having an mpg? does it lose quilty once encoded? so if i start with an mpg and encode it to an avi then back to mpg does it degrade at all?
thanks for any help you can provide.
