I have am mkv files which has 3 languages used in it. The main audio is English. There are a whole lot of conversational passages which are either in French or Vietnamese.
There are 2 English language srt files. One is ONLY for the English speech part. The other one is ONLY for the English translation of French and Vietnamese speech parts. Naturally the time codes overlap.
I would like to MERGE the two so that I have both the English speech as well as the English translations appear on the screen at the right moment.
I know I can go the copy paste route and renumbering each segment but that would take hours. Wondering if any software can do this me!
Any and all help / suggestions welcome.

Jubler can fix time inconsistencies, by re-sorting the subtitle lines.
Add one file to the other using copy-paste in a text editor first. Open in Jubler. Select the first line by clicking on it. Shift-click the last line. Now all should be selected. Menu > Tools > Time fix > Sort first; de-select other options (or use the Sort button). Save.
The time codes for every subtitle line should now be in chronological order.Last edited by Case; 19th Sep 2011 at 07:24.
