  1. How do I best sync 2 mkv file???

The first file is in Full HD but the audio is jap. The second file is in 360p and with eng audio.
Now I want the have the best from both file so i get a file in Full HD with eng audio.

If i play the 2 files at the same time they are at the same point at the same time and they continues to be that.

playtime for file 1 is 0:24:39
playtime for file 2 is 0:24:40

I have tried to split video and audio and then join them together again but they are not sync

Hope you people can help me

  2. After remuxing, in what way is the sync off? Are they off by the same amount throughout the video? Do they start in sync then get further and further out of sync as the video progresses? Do they start out in sync then suddently get out of sync at some point? Maybe several times during the video?

The easiest fix is to change the video frame rate when you mux the two together. MMG will allow you to flag a different frame rate. That might cause a little jerk in the video every now and then. And some players may not pay attention to the flagged frame rate. The harder fix is to open the audio in an audio editor, adjust the length, recompress it, then mux with the video. Audacity has audio stretch/shrink filters.

  6. I have tried to use Audacity to edit the audio file, but the file type is aas and then i open it in Audacity it is showed as a 3sec audio file.

and there do I find the stretch/shrink filters

  7. Did you include the ffmpeg import plugin? It may be able to import your audio after that:

    http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#How_do_I_download_and...ort_Library.3F

Then use File -> Import -> Audio...

    To change running time:
Effect -> Change Speed (changes pitch)
Effect -> Change Tempo (doesn't change pitch)

  8. Thanks for the help. It has really useful, but i got one last question.
Do you know what to do if I encounter the last problem, with the audio getting out of several times during the video? or is it just a waste of time to fix that?

  9. It's going to be a lot of work. You have two different cuts of the movie. You'll have to figure out where scenes were added or cut then adjust the audio to match. It's probably too hard to do with Audacity. You'll need to use a good video editor that lets you make those kinds of changes to the audio.
