    These are the exact same files that I used before but now they don't show up in preview or transcode.Now preview crashes the entire program when I click on it.

    I have had this happen on occasion. The quickest fix was to re-install FFDShow and/or MultiAVCHD

    I tried uninstalling both apps and reinstalling them, it still doesn't work. Any more ideas?

    What makes you think it won't happen again?
    That thing has been abandoned.

    Because it was working when I first used it. Evidently I installed something that fried it.

    Fixed. I reran the avisynth install and it all now works.
