This isn't a problem, just curious.
A Canadian issue of this DVD does not list CC, so naturally, when CC are turned on via the TV, there are none displayed.
But, when I opened the files in DVDSubEdit, it threw up a note, saying that a CC MPEG header had been found.
MediaInfo didn't list any EIA-608 stream so I loaded them into GraphEdit and used the Line21 decoder to look for them - nothing.
I'm wondering if they are on US issues and why they would be missing on a Canadian release.

I rented the movie, but I do not recall if it had closed captions or not. I have seen reports that the rental editions of various movies did not include closed captions. If this is a retail disc, it would be unusual if the N. American release did not have them.
