  1. Trying to find a converter to will convert my mkv files into divx format so that I may watch them on my Philips 3982 dvd player. So far I've only found one that works but the video is choppy and bad. Every converter I've tried will give me the same results when put on disc and that's no disc error, video codec not supported error, or will play audio and not the video. Have gone through SEVERAL programs and nothing seems to be working. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Format Factory. Use Media Info to get mkv specs & use those to set up FF.. Use 3000 bit rate. Convert to AVI XVID.
