  1. Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with the importing time. The files that I'm working with are more than 1gb size, so the import time is ~15min. Is there any hint to avoid that waste of time ?

    Thanks in advance,
    Raphael

Not if the files are in h264. iMovie is trying to "dumb" those down to .DV.
Your better off converting them outside of iMovie to .DV Stream, and then importing them in.
That, or use something a bit more robust to edit them with, like Premiere or FCP.

Might want to check out this app:

    http://www.miensoftware.com/mediaedit.html

It's a little rough around the edges but, IIRC, it ingests MP4 without needing to convert to DV.
