    Okay, i have everything installed, now i just need to change things in the control panel. when i open it, it doesn't let me change anything, any ideas?

    probably because there is no input.

    it's not going to work with your laptop. last time i looked there was only 2 laptops(with built in usb 3) capable of running the bmis. no laptop plugin usb3 card is ever going to work. the cardbus/expresscard slot is too slow.
