I have just downloaded the trial version of Magix Music Maker 17 for one purpose - i have read it has the option to split tracks of audio file, for example, remove vocal track from the rest. Can somebody please tell how to do it? The interface of this program looks nice and easy to use, i see a lot of functions, but miss the one i need most.

It means i misunderstood - the program only can split channels, not tracks...

Sony Sound Forge has a "Vocal Eraser" plug-in, but it's not going to give you a clean karaoke version. It's good if you want to overdub though.

Magix Music Maker 17 appears to be a music creation sequencer program using loops and midi tracks. So you wouldn't be able to use it to remove vocals from an existing audio recording, mp3, wav or whatever. There are a number of programs available to remove vocals like Soundforge, Audition, Goldwave etc - just Google vocal remover software. But be warned it all depends on how the original was mixed as to how well the common material to the stereo tracks can be removed
