I have a mp4 that does not focus on the specific sound I want.
Is there a free utility that would extract the sound where I can run it through a graphics equalizer then put the video back together again? what would be the general usage steps to do this?
Currently the loudness of the higher pitched sound I want is drowned out by other lower pitched sounds and you can almost cant hear what I want to hear.
Here is the format of the sound from my MP4 video
ID : 2
Format : AAC
Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec
Format version : Version 4
Format profile : LC
Format settings, SBR : No
Codec ID : 40
Duration : 5mn 31s
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 128 Kbps
Channel(s) : 2 channels
Channel positions : L R
Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Resolution : 16 bits
Stream size : 5.06 MiB (1%)

Do I have to anything special to get the ffmpeg plug-in into Audacity? I mean, have other utilities I use that utilize ffmpeg, like Super, that use it. I guess what Im asking is how to link ffmpeg into Audacity? When I do this, does this mean I dont need any other utility to separate the video/audio?

Got it figured out.
Using Free Video to Audio converter I can write a WAV file
Using a DAX Eq software (not free) I can adjust the frequency bands and re-write the WAV file
Then Avidamux us able to convert and sub the WAV file to ACC format and then write out the MP4.
Works good.
Thanks for the ideas guys!
