    Please help me!!
Is it possible to rip or copy a dvd disc to harddrive or VCD without a DVD-rom?,,I only have a dvd connected to my tv,not to my PC.
I would like to have some dvd movies on my PC anyway,Since I know there are Enulators for Playstation, and other video games, making it possible to play them on a PC,I thought it maybe was possible to play a DVD or rip it without a DVD-ROm..
    ANyone knows?
    Please help me!!

By the way,If anyone knows how to remove the macrovison on the CENTRUM C100 DVD,please tell me to!

    Dearly,
    Peter

  2. heh...if CD-ROMs could play DVDs...why do you think they even may DVD-ROMs in the first place....

it's not some software issue..it's hardware....DVD-ROM's lasers are much more fine-tuned than CD-ROMs...so they can read grooves on the DVD disc that are much, much closer than regular CDs

what you can do is try to capture the dvd movies with a cap card..however, the quality won't be as good as ripping directly from the dvd itself....

best bet is to just buy one...i believe they have a 16x dvd-rom for $40
