  1. I created a DVD of home movies but somehow I messed up the conversion and what I have is a screen that's sort of like 9:16 aspect ratio, that is the frame is skinny horizontally, but extends across the top and bottom of the screen. It is squished.

I have the all the VOB etc.. files for the dvd on my hard disk but I don't have the source anymore.

Is there any way I can convert this back to a normal aspect ratio??

    Thank you!

  3. Alright here are the files of the media info and an example of what the frame looks like onscreen.

I tried running ifoedit on it to change aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 but it did not work.

In Ifoedit I selected the aspect ratio setting and changed to 16:9. Maybe I missed something else?

Or is that even the problem here?

    Thanks for your help!

You may not need to do a re-encode. First try DVDPatcher to change the header info.

It's been a while since I've done this kind of thing in IFOEdit and I'm working from memory here, but if I remember correctly the aspect ratio is set in both the VOB and IFO, so maybe you just changed it in one of them. My experience is that both have to be changed.
