    when i replay the file its pretty choppy and interlaced(i gotta figure this is because its choppy) if thats any help. Not much running on my machine either.

ID:	8579n, sampletry 2 is recorded to the hard drive. the second one is very choppy and interlaced(probably because of choppy)

  3. Everything you record in 1080i is going to be interlaced. To display it properly it has to be deinterlaced on-the-fly by the player (or the graphics card). If you see comb artifacts the video is not being deinterlaced. If you aren't getting smooth playback your computer, graphics card, or software isn't up to the task.

    If you're using VLC try changing the deinterlace mode.

    Note that no deinterlacing can never be perfect. Some algorithms are better than others. And sometimes which is best depends on the source material.

    If your video is choppy then close the capture module before you try to play it back. The Arcsoft capture window uses a lot of cpu cycles and it and the playing software may not be taking full advantage of your quad core.
    There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
