Hi all,
I own a Sony pc109 Handycam. Today switched it on ready to record, but when I looked at the LCD screen what should be a beige / brown colour was a highly saturated red in colour. Also the contrast was way out.
I looked at the settings on the camcorder, and all was fine. Tried the reset button but still the same. Also tried a new DV tape but again the same. I turned it off and on, looked through the view finder and still saw a highly red image. It seem that the camera is looking at browns as red and then saturating the red.
Can ayone help please?
Thank you

Is the tape capturing the same error? If not, sounds like your LCD is going out. Play your tapes on an TV or cap them and see what they look like on the computer. Sounds like a gain or saturations problem/setting. Worst case, your sensor is bad.
