  1. hi, im trying to cut a divx file in half using VirtualDub but it gives me an error message and when i cut it, the sound is all out of sync. The error message is as follows:

VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with the standard CBR values during processing for better compatability. This may introduce up to 161750 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unnacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate:145.6 +_ 39.4 kbps)

Ive already tried AVIchop and it doesnt work. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please tell. Thanks

Try getting the latest version of VirtualDub and trying again or if that doesn't work try using Divfix to scan your file and see if it finds problems.
