    why?
in my tests and study using mediacoder max quality I get I create one file with good quality video for viewing in:
    Psp
    Ps3
    PC
    Androids tablet
    Xperia
    sony bravia

one balance of quality and size for SD view.. so one video file for varios devices without many recodings etc..

in this link I post video and mediacoder preset for testing..

but later I see FFmpeg in action! and is umbeliveable crazy speed and quality!!!! wow!!

    my computer specs

    16gb ddr3 corsair
    asus P8p67 pro
    Win7 x64

and now I see my processors working! one tv serie 45min. encoding in 7 minutes!!! with great speed and quality!!!

so I'm totaly lost and tired to use FFmpeg it has so many versions and sintax working in one and not working in another! is so confusing to my smal brain lololol

I'm downloading ffmpeg-git-312645e-win32-static this is the last version (I think) I want used but I cant!
    and libfaac.dll dont work!
and my code that find in google dont work too!

So I find one pack that work for me but dont work some things I needed.
this is all I need and work to convert SD.ts tv channel source is 640x480
in rar I put the mp4 result see the quality! I tested in:
    Psp
    Ps3
    PC
    Androids tablet
    Xperia
    sony bravia

    and works perfect!!!
    download here :

in this version I can get working libfaac.dll

but we need working solutions for new or old FFmpeg

    autocrop ?
    add subtitle .srt ?
    output size in 2 pass?
    output size in 3 pass?
    b-frames for PSP ?
use full processors i72600k? ( I want overclock this processor in future to encoding HD)

please FFmpeg genius help me to learn to teach and translate to my country and friends!

You can't hardcode just with ffmpeg. Maybe mencoder instead.

IIRC, it's possible to "pipe" the output from MPlayer into ffmpeg.

Not sure how fast (or slow) that will be, though.

I am searching for just that type of solution, for W32 however... if anyone finds the proper code to pipe from mplayer, we would appreciate seeing it.

    Cheers,
    Andrew
