Hi all -- new to the site so please be gentle!
I was about to pick up one of the Insignia blu-ray players as I had read that it can easily be hacked to be completely region free. Coming across the hack on this site, it suggests to use an earlier firmware, that you can download an earlier version of the firmware from the Insignia site if need be...
My question is, the Insignia site lists only an earlier firmware version from Feb. 2011 for the either the NS-BRDVD2 / NS-BRDVD3 / NS-BRDVD4... is that too late a version of the firmware to work with the hack?
If so, is there any other place I can download a version of the firmware that will work with the hack? Or could anyone on this site help me out and send me a copy of their firmware if need be?
Many thanks for any help

Hey y'all those links are dead, so here's were you can find the firmware now: https://archive.org/details/insignia-region-free-firmware
I found it from this recent (10 months) update from a 2011 thread about the Insignia players.
Thanks to all of you who participate in forums like these, as they are great resources for future seekers of information.
