    Sorry to post this question here but all tutorials or guides I've seen here are Windows oriented.

    the question is: How to convert MKV to AVI or MOV in a Macintosh? What is the best app to do the job?

    mkvtools, handbrake 0.9.4 or avidemux.

    Handbrake 0.9.3 will convert to avi (0.9.4 removed the ability).
    I use Avitools, works real good.
