A friend and I made several short videos, burned onto a DVD in 2006, that I am now backing up to Vimeo. The DVD has a menu, and four separate short films on it. I have copied my VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS to my hard drive, and, using ffMPEGx, chose VIDEO_TS folder as my source and encoded it to H.264, deinterlaced and deboxed. This video came out ok and I uploaded it with no problem to Vimeo - the problem is that I can't figure out how to get ffMPEGx to let me choose the *other* films on the disc and encode them. I think when I choose "Source" as my VIDEO_TS folder, ffMPEGx automatically chooses the first video and ignores the rest as a default. How do I get it to encode videos 2, 3 and 4 as separate MP4 files that i can upload to Vimeo?
I imagine that the software has a chooser option in "tools" but I honestly don't know what that would be called, and I don't know what files I would choose, on top of that. There seem to be two .VOB files for each of the videos (just guessing here). I don't know what the .IFO and .BUP files do. I have looked on these forums as well as the How-To section of ffMPEGx and frankly, I don't understand the process quite well enough to know what more to look for.
Suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks.![]()

Depending on the way the disc was originally authored, most likely each segment is its own "title" (video title set, or VTS) on the DVD.
ffmpegX allows you to choose which title to convert by entering a number in the Title field in the Video tab. The default is "1", which is why you initially converted the first segment only. Enter "2", "3", etc. for other titles on the DVD.Last edited by Case; 20th Aug 2011 at 17:55.
