I second this nomination, just make sure to NOT install all the ad-sponsored crap.

TIP: use the medium setting when converting to MP3.

You can also try grabbing the YouTube video with a normal downloader, then using FLV Extract on it (if it's an FLV, of course... I don't remember whether or not FLV Extract works for MP4s downloaded from YouTube, or if you can simply demux those using a regular MP4 demuxer, like MP4Box) to extract the audio stream. Once you have the audio stream, you can convert it to whatever format you want.

thanks guys, will try that one out

also, anyone know why since changing to chrome, orbit wont work on either IE or chrome?
usually, when a video file was on and the mouse went over it a download icon would appear, now nothing

  7. I still have Orbit 2.7.4 installed as all later versions, for me, wouldn't work properly - I use Orbit for grabbing images, so that I don't have to 'right click>save', plus swf files and occasional videos. Keeping my Orbit preferences the same, no other version after 2.7.4 would "grab" jpg's, bmp, png etc...

My guess is Orbit isn't compatible with newer versions of Flash player, Chrome automatically updates the Flash player.

If you switch to Firefox I got a super star utility that I use all the time, never failed yet.
