Remove history from media player classic

How do i remove history of previous files from mp classic. i am running windows 7 and i see the history in start menu and when right clicking on program in taskbar at the bottom.

i am running mp 1.5.2.3236, windows 7, 64 bit.

File -> Recent Files -> Clear List

Hi I've tried that but no Recent List in <File>.

I need to clear the list when I right click at the taskbar icon. ANy idea?

I don't use Win7, but if you're referring to MPC-HC, it has it's own menu. File/Recent Files/Clear List. It probably has nothing to do with Windows and whether or not it keep it's own list of recently open files. MPC (the original, not the home cinema version) is old and outdated.

For XP, the recent files list which appears under Documents in the start menu can be found in this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Recent Documents

If you don't find it elsewhere, 'History' is often recorded in the registry. You might have to dig a little. And if you go into the registry, be careful and back it up before deleting anything.
