I know this is dumb question but can someone tell me what the Image Filter does and what I should set it too in Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder 2.51?
I want to Create VCDs and xVCDs to watch on my TV but I am not sure what settings I should use and when I should use them. I had a user to tell me to set Noise Reduction to Weak and Video Filter to Fixed Weakest. But I don’t know why and when I should make any changes. If I should set it this way, why is the default turned off? I have read the help and it doesn’t make it any clearer.
I have done some experimenting and found that I need to Set Tone Correction to TV. I could experiment some more with different setting and see which one works the best but I have already spent weeks tweaking my Capture Card and don’t want to spend additional weeks tweaking my encoding software.
I am encoding both Live Action and Animation. I am encoding raw AVI from a Pinnacle PCTV and Re-Encoding MPG files from a Provideo PV231. In case this has anything to do with which settings. I should use.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
