    Hello

I wanted to know if here's someone who is more experienced with dxva/cuda issue. I use avchdcoder to encode mkv file to avchd disc. When i check windows processes I see bc.exe (bitcoin miner) that uses about 60% of my cpu, rest 40-50% (both jumps up and down a bit) is x264.exe. Same time I noticed that, I noticed also that my avchd encoding jumped 2-3 hours longers than it used to be.

Im using 32bit and 64bit ffdshow_rev3964_20110806_clsid. I have also tried with other revisions, the ones that dont have libavcodec and ffmpeg-mt integrated.. the ones that didnt have DXVA checkbox option in installer, but still it shows bc.exe in processes. Maybe it's something related to nvidia drivers? I got windows 7 64bit and nvidia gtx470.

I tried to look but couldnt find if there's option to disable cuda for avchdcoder (like to force x264.exe to use 100% cpu instead). Could someone tell me if there's a workaround for this to disable cuda somehow.

    Thanks in advance.

turn off bitcoin miner or right click on the process and set it to low priority, and do the same for x264 except set it to high.

bitcoin miner costs more in wasted electricity then you can ever get out of it.

    Thanks for answer.

Where I can turn it off? I killed it's process now and tried encoding. It really is the cause why encoding started to comsume time.

With bc.exe in processes on this test movie takes total 6h 55min to encode.
With bc.exe killed in processes this same test movie takes 2h 45min to encode.

I want this to be permanent change, like I dont have kill that process everytime it starts new encode

?? you must have installed it, if you don't want it uninstall it. or there should be settings in the program to stop it from running at boot. last resort run msconfig and see if you can uncheck it from the start up list.

are you sure it's bitcoin miner? that's usually bitcoin.exe not bc.exe

"Bitcoin Miner": no such file or directory.

If you like that application so much, you'd better dedicate an entire PC to it.

If you have to ask, then you're not ready to know.

Yes now Im sure. I have no idea where it came and how. Im sure I havent never installed it as a "bloatware" on any other software's side. What I do know is that, it has harvested around 2 months now..ffs..I feel angry just to think how much pointless time it has used for nothing! File was located in c:\users\xxxx\my documents\downloads\bc\bc.exe some said it was in c:\windows\system32\bc.exe

In that directory, there was bc.bat, bc.exe and some other file (deleted it already). Before I deleted I tested it once more to clarify it was the reason for slowdown: AVCHDCODER + test movie, encoding speed around 33~fps, bc.exe not active in processes. Then I clicked bc.bat to start "mining program" (it started to mine some hashes) and fps slowly dropped (avchdcoder's top bar shows realtime fps) all the way to 9fps. So, it ate third half of my cpu.

you installed it when you started clicking on bc.xxx things. sounds like it might have been downloaded as a trojan. bitcoin miner uses your computer cpu and gpu to produce cash. in your case it might be mining for someone else.

just for fun open the bc.bat with notepad and copy and paste what it says here. then delete all copies of bc.xxx you can find.

Yeah, I guess it leaked from somewhere. I remember I once googled about bitcoin miner what it's about, maybe I accidentally downloaded the program or smth.. weird.

Too bad I already deleted it, undelete cant find it neither.. but I remember when I opened bc.exe it linked to this site https://mtred.com/

It showed amount of hashing and once and then completed some strange string of code that it "dumped" somewhere.
